Faux finish etiquette 101 for the decorative painting pro

By thefauxguy

Like with anything it is sometimes easy to remember some basic things with regard to conduct in a customer’s home.  I think it is because as part of human nature we just get used to doing the same things over and over and become so comfortable that we let our standards sag a little bit.  So now I am here to remind us of a few things to be sure to do when working at a client’s site.

1)  Keep it clean.  No paint on the floor, ceiling, or appliances.  Put your trash away.  The idea is to leave their home in the same or better condition (clean-wise) than when you started the job.

2)  Have a good agreement.  Our company went from a one-pager to something that was more comprehensive.  We have gotten so many comments since then from people liking our professionalism.  This can also weed out anybody who might not pay in the end.

3)  Show up when you say you will be there, and shoot for getting the job done on time.  In a world of no-shows this will put you out ahead of 90% of the working population.

These are a few of the things we suggest to raise your professional image.  For more info and ideas on working check out our faux painting work on our website at www.mojofaux.com.
